What We Do
Local Outreach
Addressing local hunger insecurities in our area (see box below), gathering school supplies and adult/child winterwear and toy drives
Community Programs
Suffolk County Police Outreach programs for seniors and children, and Narcan training to help save a life endangered by drug incidents
Disaster Relief
Provide funds and supplies for disaster relief following natural disasters around the world.
Social Justice Advocacy
Participate in initiatives addressing critical civil and human rights issues, promote Open and Affirming actions, take part in impactful solidarity events, engage in discussions, and passionate advocacy efforts aimed at creating a fairer and more inclusive society.
Global Outreach
Contribute to UCC funds that support justice initiatives, disaster relief, and jobs for people worldwide.
More on our Food Missions
The Mt. Sinai Congregational Church’s Island Heart Food Pantry, located at 643 Middle Country Road in Middle Island, provides essential food services every Wednesday from 1pm to 4pm. Over 10,000 individuals are helped each year at this valuable mission location. In addition, we operate an Emergency Food Cupboard in our church, assisting clients on Tuesdays from 9:15 am to 11:45 am.
